Frank Klein came aboard Rivian in June of 2022. Based on his resume, I would assume his job is to apply his experience in operations, production, automation, etc. to scale production.
I personally would assume that since he came aboard, he has given Rivian his best advice. And that his advice...
Perhaps since all the bed rail plastic etc. is replaced, there is hope for a retrofit of automatic for those people who were forced to remove the auto cover. Eventually.......
Doesn't contactless open the door for other devices (watches, etc.) besides credit cards?
If so, does that circumvent the skimming problem people are concerned about?
For me the best jacking solution comes from a mix of vendors:
Safejacks sells a kit that I have tested with the Gen 2 puck from Jackpucks.com. The puck from Jackpucks.com fits fine on the jack in the kit; which means the variety of extensions do as well.
I also bought their universal baseplate...
Both companies have challenges, but those challenges are as different as the products.
If I recall, Rivian's IPO stated they were looking at capturing perhaps 15% of the market over time.
Contrast that with Ford, who I believe said production would be 150,000 this year. And that number has to...
Since 2023.26.00 mine have been much more unpredictable. They used to be fantastic. But with this software release they don't work hardly at all when the vehicle is doing the weed-eater imitation.

It could be worse. I wonder how many people are simply looking at the temp when opening the app? Not realizing that you have to wake it up to get a current reading.
I'm genuinely happy the current version of the software works as you describe - for you. It absolutely does not here. Selecting auto does not mitigate.

Seems unlikely that there was that much pressure....
From a CNBC article around the time of the IPO:
"Rivian, which is based in Irvine, California, has two classes of stock. Scaringe owns just 1% of Class A shares, or those held by the broader investor base and available for trading. But he...
And you are right about Rivian getting most things right on the first try. Indeed, prior to 2023.22.00, both the seat cooling and "screen protection" that effectively kept the rest of the truck a *little* cooler, were great.
