So what’s the largest diameter tire we can fit?

Edit: looks like it’s been determined elsewhere to be about 35”. Interestingly, Goodyear makes a Wrangler Territory RT in 285/65/20, that’s also ‘Electric Drive Ready’, so should have low rolling resistance.

I just noticed there will be another AT option available to us in November, from Nitto: Terra Grappler G3 in 275/65R20. 600 UTQG. 116H. Non-LT with a max pressure of 51 PSI. Also, there will be a 60-series XL (116T) version coming sooner, in October, 50 psi max. The tires weigh 46.3 and 45.3 lbs respectively. The factory ATs are said to be 48 lbs. Both are 3PMSF.

LT275/65 and LT285/60 (Nov.) are also available, but heavier.

Sorry if this has been talked about already... Too many tire threads and I don't keep track of them all.

Nice find! That 275/65 in 116H is definitely what I’ve been waiting for.

Any news about being able to update tire size without having to visit the service center?

Looks like they just updated the site and changed that second one from 116H to a 116T... stock number and all other specs are unchanged.

275/65R20 116T - Available in Nov.

Now, this *shouldn't* matter for us as we're speed limited below 118mph, but I've seen some tire shops argue that they won't install T-rated tires because it's below the OEM speed rating of H... Hopefully that doesn't happen because I'm really looking forward to these Nitto G3's.

That’s unfortunate. But right about the software governor. Independent shops are generally more accommodating than big chains. The LT is still viable and about similar weight to other front runners.

Those performance ratings hit the sweet spot for many of us looking to balance road and off-road performance.

Here is my actual.

I replaced the OEM at 33,588 I got the Open Country III and then was given the opportunity to use the EV version and I was surprised about the increase in range. I commute daily and we have done long rod trips (1,200+ Miles). I off road with the truck as well. The overall performance is great, off road these tires do extremely well, great grip on rock and sand. For optimal mileage I was told to have pressure at 53 psi.

I would really love to see a side by side comparison of the Open Country IIIs and the new OEM Wranglers. I have the OEM 21s now, and am planning on switching to a 20“ 3PMSF, and it seems like those two are the top contenders (for my needs, anyway).

just comparing the OEM 20" with these G3 (spec sheets from Discount Tire site):

PIRELLI SCORPION ALL TERRAIN PLUS:
Rivian R1T R1S !¿ Best 20” AT Tire for Range?! ??? 1727113388288-sd

NITTO TERRA GRAPPLER G3:
Rivian R1T R1S !¿ Best 20” AT Tire for Range?! ??? 1727113458503-hg

I wonder if the increased Load Range of the Terra Grappler G3 comes with a compromise of handling or noise? Noise is the only real gripe I have with my OEM Pirelli set.

You're looking at the wrong G3. They offer the 275/65/20 in a 116T (standard) load index, which is more comparable to the OEM Pirelli ATs.
