Just got my crossbars in today. They seem a touch loose, will have to look into how to get them on here tighter, but I threw a 1up rack on top of the bed to get a photo with my longest bike, so everyone can see how it fits. It's not terrible but I think I will end up modifying the rack so the front can't open too far.

Make sure you get 2 clicks to secure the crossbars. One click is not locked. If you have trouble with the 2nd click, try lifting up while doing the 2nd click

Great set up. Looks good. Do you have time to go for a drive and report back with how the setup effects your range? Im curious how much more drag there is with a bike on the bed like that.

Thanks for posting. My large 29er with 160/160 travel will likely extend a bit further. Road bikes should be good.

Is the Gear Guard cable still usable to "secure" bikes on the rack?

Thought I felt two out of the one that was the most loose, but it didn't improve it much. I'll give it another try pulling up.

Thanks for posting that! Many of us have been wondering how this could work.

That 1UP rack is perfect for this because of the channel underneath that runs the entire length of the rack. Looks like you could slide it back another 8-10” (?) if one wanted.

Great pics. The pain of wet weather but just think of the hero dirt when it dries out a bit.

There is a trick to get the crossbars to seat firmly in the latch points. Open the lever and keep the key in the open position. Then place the crossbar into the well and close the lever. You should hear a definitive click. Once that happens then open the lever enough to lock it.

If the crossbar is seated correctly there is no forward backward movement and the crossbars are firmly planted.

I've found the Yakima HighRoad very good for truck bed bar mounting. The bar has a stop that prevents the arm from hitting the truck cab.

On my f150 electric tonneau t-slots I can move the bars forward and back to optimize the bike position in the bed (as close to the cab as possible without touching and the bars as close together as the mount specs for minimum so I can access the truck bed more easily).

Also it seems pretty aero, or at least it looks like it's trying to be.

Edit: guess I'm late to the game, just saw the posts in the other thread about how rivian states the HighRoad won't fit - it would need to be mounted backwards and then there would only be space for a bike with length < 70".

I have my Rivian and have a 4-bike Equip-D on order. I’ll post pics when I get the hitch rack from 1up.

Thanks for sharing. Do you think the two crossbars have enough real estate for 4 bikes (with 4 bike racks)?

I have one of these in the older design. I haven't tried to fit it yet but I don't think it will. Maybe tonight since the weather is looking better.

Thanks for posting! This helps as I think through my plans for transporting bikes.

I know it’ll depend on a number of factors including one’s height and strength, but wondering if you were able to load it by hand(standing on the ground) or had to jump into he bed?

Thanks again!

I loaded the bike up from the ground. The rack on the bed is lower than on the roof of my polestar, which I had just pulled the rack off of.
