11/26/2018 reservation holder here. I live 4 miles from their corporate headquarters in Irvine and even closer to RJ’s residence. No communication and order estimate stuck on “processing” for years.

All I can figure is that you must have ordered the bright orange dayglow with the powder blue interior. You might consider asking for R1 Shop access.

Still waiting 11/2018 preorder . But not surprised as I have max pack R1T config. i have had shop access for months. Almost pulled the trigger many times. But at this point I am going to wait it out.

Just me, but I’d never buy a car - any car - if I wasn’t close to a place to service / inspect quickly.

Just to throw my two cents in, I wouldn't recommend getting one that far away from the service center. Product is too new and complex to really trust it to that level. My thought is to just let them continue to work out the generation one issues through most of this year and see how things go.

A brave soul also has an R1S on the Big Island (spotted in Waimea) as well.

Just seen my first R1T in Lahaina last weekend while waiting for the boat back to Lanai. I'll probably wait awhile for a Hawaii service center. All good, get the bugs worked out.

That sounds like a mistake...

Maybe the Costa Mesa service center at 7.9 miles away is too far. Seems to be the BS reply a few others even closer to some service centers are getting. Good thing not in a hurry, just waiting for early adopters to work out all the bugs. Maybe by then Rivian will have declared itself as a company one way or another
