I could start a whole separate thread about the superiority of 2D North Up maps. Allocentric navigation is the best way to navigate.
But isn't it annoying having to drive south in reverse all the time?

Switched to 2DNU to give this map orientation a try.

I’m not being recruited into some kind of cult? Right?
Set it to the same orientation as your bar-mounted Garmin/Wahoo! :)

I had some units with iGo based navigation in previous cars. What I liked was that it could default to 2D up, but then when you got close to your turn, you could configure it for 3D view with lane by lane guidance. Once the turn was complete, it went back to 2D. Those were also really good at getting the zoom setting right. 2D North Up in my Rivian seems to have a really zoomed in view. When you switch to 3D, you actually see a LOT more nearby map area. That just feels wrong...

My wife once said "North is whichever way I'm facing." To this day, remembering that is like hearing nails on a chalkboard.
