No, Ford has direct access to EA live status and pricing, without Carplay or AA. They have Plug and Charge on EA, so are already connected to their servers. The Fordpass app and the in car Charge Assist app have that data for EA, and now also have it for Tesla.
Ford has live access to EA because they have a charging deal with them. EA needs to make their api available publicly so rivian, PlugShare, etc… can use it

Well at least there's hope that EA will come around then. I got a blistering 60-80kw at EA over the weekend with the Rivian reporting station limitation at points but at least it worked while the kids were getting ice cream. Only one of four stations was broken.

Right. The difference is that the existing streaming audio apps already exist. Rivian is already losing money on those because it is paying for the data. And if Rivian suddenly started charging for things we have been getting for free, then the user community would loose their shit.

With Sirius XM, it doesn't exist yet. Rivian has a choice to either:
1) Introduce it now, give it to people for free, and let them increase their cellular usage for free. Then punch them in the gut later and demand payment.
or,
2) Introduce it after Rivian starts charging for premium services, and recover the streaming cost through the premium service connection fee.

From a business point of view, I think it makes sense to stop giving away freebies (and/or having the general user base subsidize a subset of users) and start charging for usage, IF a particular customer wants to use that option.
I just want to say - having paid over $100,000 for a vehicle (R1S, Dual Motor Performance, Max Pack) i dont feel like i am getting streaming for "free" - i feel like i paid for it - the question is for how long should be included? Volvo includes 2-3 years then charges ~ $10 per month. I will also say the dependence in cell signal in an adventure vehicle is problematic - i have already encountered circumstances with no signal - lost navigation and of course all streaming music. Map should be downloaded to be used with GPS regardless of cell access or not. Minor grips - i love this truck!

pretty underwhelming, but I did have one incident 2 months ago where the doors didn’t unlock correctly, so i guess it’s cool
to hopefully get that fixed. Lots of updates to their nav system lately, and it needs it, but man I wish they’d improve the awful driver+

Some great changes but my personal request is still to allow me to determine where time and temp should display. Would like it in front of driver so not to have to look to far right on center screen. Must be a tougher change than I realize.

I wouldn’t think it was hard to do. Probably just not a priority.

Man, you all are hard to please! The rear display features were mentioned multiple times during the latest Rivian Responds, yet many here are complaining that this month's progress either wasn't enough or that they changed the rear display at all!
That's how this works.....

We still don't have departure charging... something so simple that is critical for an EV. I recommend everyone open your phone ap up and submit a comment about adding departure charging.
I use the charge-scheduling feature in the app to approximate departure charging. Very helpful.

I hope the issue of street names disappearing from the driver screen mini-map in this update has been fixed. Since the last March update, street names have disappeared from the mini-map.

I got to agree Underwhelming.. Nav does not let you set destination charge for intermediate stops. In the past I have come to a intermediate stop with 4% left. So many other info features missing who cares about the rear screen. Where is Utube videos?

That does not work when you have varying schedules and range. You have to go in and change the start charging time vs just departure. charge schedule does 50% of what's really needed.

Do you have the Rivian home charger? When I try to use the charge scheduling feature it doesn't seem to work.
