I have this same issue on a Gen2 R1T. Updates installed, costumes show as an option, I click to activate one, and the app says my Rivian is now haunted, but there are no changes to the truck. I have teh Halloween options in the vehicle, like sound effects for locking and zombies for pedestrians, but no costumes. I tried a hard reset and then a soft reset and still no luck.
Is there any chance you have the spinning wheel of death that says, "Try again in a little bit..." when you go to settings and upgrades in your car?

I do have that exact same message. I tired a WiFi reset to no avail. I also updated the PAAK settings for my two drivers in the app, and the changes have not flowed to the truck still. I think there is a communication bug in the update...

Yes! I've been told some security/communications error is occurring. A small percentage of vehicles are impacted. It is a known bug, and they are working on fixing it. I'm unsure if they will roll out a patch before the next regular update. You did all the right things, but it doesn't seem to be something we (owners) can fix.

Another issue that may be related…I can no longer initiate a charging session on my garage charger via the Rivian app. I have to initiate from inside the truck. Seems communication issues are pervasive…

I am surprised at every update that nav saved locations, radio presets and streaming accounts are still not linkable to the driver profiles.

It seems to me like its one of the most basic functions still missing.

Hasn’t been discussed on here for a while, anyone else think its about time this is fixed?

I had mobile service come to my house today for a different issue and I mentioned the Halloween costumes not working for me. He had the .31 updated pushed again to the vehicle but there still was no change after the update installed. Is the Halloween mode working for other gen2 owners?

Well that stinks. I have a Gen 2 and .31 and the Halloween costumes work. It’s not bulletproof. Sometimes there’s a hang-up but I get them to work.

I was a bit saddened to not yet have gotten the new update, but after seeing quite a few posts about the problems associated with it, am less upset.

Of course, getting a Halloween-themed update just in time for Thanksgiving is not really a cause for celebration either.

My update has been stuck at 43 percent download for 2 days. Tried soft and hard reset and reconnecting WiFi and switching to guest WiFi. Trying sleep reset now but not optimistic. Any ideas how to delete update or get to finish downloading the 31, let me know.

A few updates ago this happened to me. I had to call service, they contacted someone else while I was on the phone, canceled my download, and re-pushed to the vehicle, had me to a vehicle reset and it downloaded and installed. Sometimes it just gets hung up I guess and they can re-push to your vehicle.
