Has anyone had an issue with the drivers display rebooting while driving after this update?

It seems to happen to me once on every drive about 10 minutes in. The navigation/map freezes and the drivers display goes blank with just the speed and rivian logo being displayed. Takes about 30 seconds or so to reboot and then continues like nothing happened...

Did you try doing a truck reset and a infotainment reset?

Gen 1 Quad R1S, this happened to me today. On cruise control, 3 beeps then spontaneous reboot. I had already hard rebooted the system after the software update. Good job, devs

What does the 105 miles mean in my Energy tab? it shows 105 miles yet the main screen shows 169 miles. I did not reset after the update. R1S Tri is at 48% SOC.

My cruise control is having a system fault and shutting off frequently. I just did a 2.5 hour drive yesterday and it faulted 6 times. The first time was within the first 2 minutes of setting cruise, I did a full reset and it still happened 5 more times throughout the rest of the drive. I am also getting random screen freezes and restarts after this last update. This update also had me install it twice which was weird.

This update feels like 5 steps back on the software which is quite annoying.

Same. It has been frustrating. In addition, I had a screen full of errors pop up the other day and it required two hard resets to get things back to normal.

I was put into turtle mode, all sensors were dead, and the car said it required service. When I called Rivian, they seemingly had no idea about the constant issues with this branch. I referenced a Reddit thread discussing the same, and the rep read it live with me. Dozens of people having the same issue with cruise control.

I have had messages from the cruise control system, "Take control now. System Fault detected," maybe 10-15 times since taking delivery of our R1S about 27K miles ago. I am able to re-set the cruise control immediately. At first it was unsettling, but now I find it only a minor inconvenience.

These events happened mostly in the first 2.5 months after delivery (Feb-Apr 2024) and in the last 2 months or so (May-Jun 2025). Initially, I thought there was moisture somewhere and it cleared up after use. Now I have no hypothesis on what is causing it.

Some forum users on this thread may be describing the same issue I have. Others appear to be describing a very different problem. I hope we all get the use we expect out of our Rivians.
