The Count received a survey from Rivian and one question was curious... basically asked by the quad and not the tri. Perhaps demand for the QM is soft and rivian is looking to see how firm The Count's interest is?

The Count, as most people have already heard, is not surprised that Rivian's crack PR and communications team has been silent on any QM updates.

So, how many people are still interested in a G2 quad after reading the test reports and initial feedback from people with tri motors?

Wow, enjoy your rocketship when it arrives! I have a G1 Quad which is already powerful enough for me to loose my lunch. Can’t imagine what 1000+ HP will feel like….

Yeah I think demand is probably softer than they would like as the tri is plenty for most people. I’m happy with the tri and will have no regrets. It’s faster than the gen 1 quad and with a rear power bias it feels fun to drive. It’s already exceedingly powerful for city streets I couldn’t see getting more utility from faster.

Same for me here, too. I declined the invitation, canceled the Quad. The Tri is good enough for me, getting mine on Monday.

I'm on the fence. Based on the Motortrend article I'll likely go with the Tri just because of the range hit. However I want to see some more real world testing with the G2 Quad before making the call.

On the same tires, I'd bet the quad will have essentially the same range as the tri.

Uh-uh, no way, not possible
The real world range difference between our gen1 quad whist in conserve and our gen1 dual is negligible. I bet that with the 22 sport wheels (not the ‘super sport’ offset ones) we will probably see a ~10 mile difference in range - unless the new gen2 ascend motors are significantly less efficient than the gen1 boschs’. I’d be getting a gen2 quad for bragging rights, but Rivian are replacing our gen1 quad with a gen2 tri - their opinion is that they are the ‘equivalent’ models.
