geez people. have you never been stuck at home on a snowy/icy day? they mean "sticking" in the sense that the door is unable to be opened not that there is physical binding preventing it from opening. perhaps not the best choice of words but far from a load of BS intending to misrepresent.
So tell me how software would fix that again? They definitely mean "we accidently disabled charging due to an overzealous analysis of continuity on the charge harness".

sorry, not following. you want me to tell you how software would fix what exactly? I mean, software is always the fix for a software bug. My previous point is that you appear to be too literally interpreting a sticking door as a hardware problem which is not what the release notes are intending to imply.

you need to keep in mind that most release notes are written to target a 5th grade education level (roughly). and they are written to reflect the problem experienced by the user, not to provide a technical root-cause analysis of what was causing said problem that many would not recognize or understand as being related to the symptom experienced.

Underlined the important bit there.

Imagine all the confusion if they wrote "State change algorithm for charging port door location found to have undocumented bit change loop that is only rectified with 7 repeated cycles of door open initiation, causing stack overflow and soft reset of algorithm"..........What fun right?

Personally I like the "Door got stuck sometimes, it was a software thing, we fixed it" note methodology.

Mine is also installing now. Don’t care a lick about texting. Not Jonesing over CarPlay. But, damn it, they better have fixed the Trip Meter micro font issue. Seriously, that’s all I want. Seems like a small (no pun intended) ask 🤞

Oh, yeah. Any improvement to the 12v battery management is always welcome.

Update:
Rivian gets an “F” for not correcting the trip meter micro fonts 😡 Seemed like a simple ask.

The steering wheel is much more stable on the highway with less vibrations in general

I had the coolest idea for wipers way back when I was in High School: put the squirters on the wiper arms! That way, the whole windshield gets wet instead of just two spots.

Then, just a few years later, GM actually did it on a few models. Don't hardly see it anywhere anymore though. I wonder why. Sure there is the issue of the fluid hose getting worn out, but that should be easily replaceable.
Our Volvo XC40 has that. It works really well!

I’ve had steering wheel vibrations on freeway speeds since i replaced my OEM tires. I took it to the SC once for service for this reason. I was told it was due to the AT tires I had installed- maybe in part but this confirms it’s more than just the tire.
There’s a TSB for this (vibration due to old steering wheel design). I had my steering wheel replaced, as did my father, which helped with the vibration. I think the new wheel is heavier or something.

We both have Nokian AT tires, and the issue went away (same tires before and after, no new balancing). It was more pronounced between 70-78 mph, IIRC.
