I figured a video would better explain how the tool works.

After more than 2 years I finally have a need to remove the 2nd row headrests and just ordered the tool (and some grab handle coat hanger hooks from RayLepper.com - If you're new to your Rivian you may have missed this thread about removing the headrests.

We picked up our R2 yesterday and this morning I grabbed my Headrest Removal Tool from the center console of our R1S (I don't leave home without it) and opened the back door of the R2 to see if the tool would work there too. To my amazement, the tool isn't needed with the R2!

For those R1 owners out there who have ever struggled with removing the headrests in the second row of seats (or just gave up because it seemed to be impossible), do yourself a favor and buy a Headrest Removal Tool from Ray. You won't be disappointed!
