$3000 estimate for tonneau cover replacement?

It's a poor process/policy by Rivian that shows warranty repairs at a cost. If anything it causes concern of cost of repair for people down road needlessly.

Every other vehicle I have had has always costed the warranty repair in the paperwork, though that was always work done at dealerships who were getting reimbursed by the manufacturer for their effort. Maybe Rivian's accounting practices treat the service centers the same as a dealership work cost. Not sure they are even thinking about causing anyone some future, perhaps unrealized, concern.

My last experiences with Acura and Lexus simply had N/C for warranty work. I am sure their backend paperwork has dollars, but customer paper work did not.

Are they fitting retrofits now?

To answer my own question for the benefit of others;

I called Rivian Service and they informed me SC are not installing these aftermarket yet. Will be shown in the gear shop when available . . .

They have the amount there, but you won't have to pay for it. You can always confirm it through Rivian, but it's safe to say you won't pay for it.
