48A vs. 40A for home charging??

What amperage do you recommend for home charging an R1S?

So I when with 50A with a NEMA-14-50 connected to a Juicebox. I get 48v, which gives me 20-25 miles per hour according to the Rivian app. However, from 25% to 85% it takes 10 to 12 hours. Is this normal? or is this slow?
When you say 50A, do you mean breaker? I think most plug-in (14-50) EVSEs won't do 48A charging, so your breaker is sized correctly for 40A charging, but it seems you are charging at 48A which needs a 60A breaker and hardwired. It may be worth double-checking your settings.

You need to drop the draw to 40 amps on a 50 amp circuit. For continuous draws like EV charging you need to only draw 80% of the circuit size.

@48 amps that charge rate is normal, at 40amps you will probably be between 19 and 21 miles an hour.

Thank you both. I have check and the breaker is 50A. I also adjusted to draw 80%. Im not in the rush charging full speed (48) and overloading the circuit. :)
