So Kyle admits that he did not pre-order the Rivian R1T and has taken delivery of one. How many of us have been waiting years and Rivian pulls this BS? He claims he didn't get it for being a "youtuber" but we all know that is nonsense. I still haven't been assigned a guide and he gets one right away when he recently placed an order.

Wow. I like Kyle and his videos but if he ordered just a few weeks/months ago then this is again another example of unfairness.

Yea, quite the juxtaposition with a thread someone with a February 2019 preorder posted today. That person had not heard anything. Sounds like he needs to be a YouTuber.

Aside from my bitterness, I think @OutofSpecKyle did a great deal for us in not only getting the word out to allow Rivian to flourish, but also highlighting the good, bad, and also areas of improvement for the Rivian team. Because of all that, I think I can let the early delivery slide.....

I agree his videos are good, Rivian don’t really need the publicity with over 90k preorder holders.
He does good videos but his subscriber base is an order of magnitude smaller than several other reviewers.

Someone offered their early reservation to Kyle. Maybe that is how Kyle got it.

I also had a recent reservation trigger before two much older reservations. The configuration has to be just right to win the Rivian lottery. I am hopeful that the new R1 Shop will correct some of this unfairness.

I thought reservations could not be transferred now. As seen by the discussion on people trying to buy a reservation.
