It was kind of easy to think of A-ha as only having a couple of popular songs because their other stuff didn't get much airplay here in the states. But, they had some really great music other than Take On me , The Sun Always Shines on TV and the Bond theme The Living Daylights. They definitely had a good run. I thought Joy Division and Men at Work were carrying most of the weight, but we can agree to disagree on that![]()
By all means.... post away with "the good bands"....That's a pretty strong case given that you didn't even feel the need to list most of the good bands.
Ok, here are just a few examples. I could go on for hours. You’ve got to follow up with more than that, man. WHERE’S THE BEEF?
As a former 5th grade teacher I feel this SO deeply in my bones...Ima just gonna leave this here.....

So are you saying that most of us will think the dual motor is bigger, and better, and cheaper, and cancel our quad motors with pre-price hike pricing to pay more for dual motors and think we got a deal?? Cost that’s exactly what I’m thinking to do!!Ima just gonna leave this here.....

It's because your Mom stopped coming over?Fact. We can argue about whether this name or that name is racist slight. It's a waste of time. But the 80s sucked and I will fight that argument to the death.
My teenage years were in 80's and the music was the best.I grew up in the 80s and it was pretty stupid![]()
In the early 90's I could see that being funny. When I was in High School in the early 90s I worked at a mom and pop deli. Not a single day went by without a customer asking us "how big is the 6 inch sub?"
I think of those customers a lot when I read some of these forum posts.
You could cut that list in half and have a very solid lifetime of pop music.Maybe the 80's sucked (for some), but no denying the music was awesome!
