I store all my work tools in the frunk where they are safe from prying eyes. However, the side mounted lights are blocked and of little use. Has anyone seen or come up with a good way to affix a light to the inside of the hood that would illuminate the interior of the frunk?

I was considering something like that but wondered if the motion of stuff stored in the frunk would set the lights off. Are the charges long-lasting?

There is a wire run/loom on the passenger side hinge, don’t think it would be too hard to add any array of stick up leds and follow that cable route if you wanted to hardwire the light option
Maybe tap (I am a huge advocate for positap brand connectors for automotive stuff) into the existing lights that way it is switched

Any chance you have more details or pics of the wire loom? Thanks.

Along the same lines:

They have a light sensor so that will not turn on in the dark, and a 15-20 second "on" period (unless there's motion).

3M two-sided take didn't work too well to mount one just rearward of the latch on the hood. Alien tape (as seen on TV) worked great.
Sorry -

Correction: The lights ONLY turn on in the dark and when motion (heat) is detected. So the $4.99 Costco roasted chicken might keep these lights busy! I use rechargeable Energizers which last at least a couple months between charges.

I ordered these lights from Amazon and they work great. Thanks for the suggestion. Now I can see all my tools. I've got them in manual mode and not motion detecting.

Which ones did you end up with? How did you attach them?
