Good afternoon

Sorry if I sound like a noob. I want to get a nozzle for the end of the included air hose so that i can use it to blow dirt out of the bed, water off the truck after washing, etc...

1). Can i buy a "quick connect" fitting or what type of fitting do i need to work with the included air hose?

2). anyone have a set they recommend?

It does? I will look in the door later. I thought it was just the air hose that attached to the bed of the truck but no attachments for the end of the hose.

The zipper case has attachments in the lid pocket including a presta->schrader valve adapter, a basketball inflater, and a generic nozzle that you could use for mattresses and for blowing off dust.

The generic nozzle is pretty low pressure so some folks might have better suggestions for that specific purpose

https://rivian.com/support/article/whats-included-with-the-air-compressor-accessories-kit

from @Iwantatesla

if you’re after a better blow gun type attachment, take one of the ones from the kit with you to a store to find the right size fittings, if you can’t measure accurately.

edit: PSA, never use compressed air to clean your clothing or yourself. a surprising amount of damage can be done.
Never couple or uncouple pressurized hose.

Thanks to both of you. I had not realized when I opened up the air hose it had attachments. i just unzipped and saw the hose. I need to pay attention more.

If anyone has any suggestions for nozzle's to increase the pressure, please let me know as I would like to use it to blow off the water after a wash.

Get a proper blow gun with a rubber end on it, Milton is very good. It’s not a matter of pressure but how focused the stream of air is. You will not find a blow gun that does more than 30psi anyway, due to occupational safety rules having determined anything higher to be hazardous.

Be careful when cleaning with compressed air. Use eye protection.

I will look into the Milton. Is it a male or female universal? Sorry if I keep asking dumb questions. I ask a lot by. nature.

You will need two things. The right size of (male) fitting, and the attachment itself.

I don’t have my rivisn, so I can’t say what size fitting the connector on the hose needs. Probably 1/4” if I had to guess.

like I said, take one of the attachments with you to somewhere that sells fittings. Your favourite hardware store for example. Not harbor freight ?

Must be a Canadian thing. All our blowgun attachments happily work at 130 psi.

What if shopping at harbor freight is the only thing getting a rivian back into budget?
As it relates to this discussion, fittings from Harbor Freight will be much higher quality than what’s included!

I do wish the connector on the truck were female as it is on every other air source I have seen.

Obviously Rivian knew how many engineers would be buying this truck and played it safe. Can't assume they would know their way around a female fitting.
