Is the R1S supposed to change the ride height / suspension setting while the car is parked/charging? I keep coming out to find that the truck has lowered itself and the suspension is softer. Then after driving for a minute or so and 1/2 mile or so, it stiffens up and raises up. Kneel in park is turned off. Vehicle parked in all purpose mode, standard ride height, with suspension on stiff. I’m wondering if I have a bad air suspension valve.

If it's dropping down to the stops after only a day then you have a leak somewhere. Service should be able to identify and fix it.

Is it supposed to drop at all? It doesn’t make sense to me why it would drop any unless I have kneel on. I don’t think it is dropping all the way down, and I don’t think it’s a leak. In the past, this type of problem has been a valve malfunction for me.

Air suspension systems tend to not be completely sealed, but it should be weeks before they lose enough air to droop like that, not days.

I also had this issue. the front suspension would fully deflate in about 36 hours of sitting in my garage. I took it in to service and they found the front struts and pressure tank were leaking.

Thanks. I started a thread about being concerned about the air suspension system in February 2022. I went through air suspension problem with another vehicle for years before finally converting it to normal shocks. Now it looks like my brand new vehicle is having air suspension issues along with a million other problems. Fudge…

And another good reason why the R2 has to come with coils (or leaf), just not air suspension.

So your’s is doing it too? What have they told you so far? In my Grand Cherokee it got to the point where no one could figure out why it was doing it and then they just wanted to start replacing parts…

That looks like your truck is trying out yoga and doing the famous "downward truck" move that only select R1s have been able to master. Hopefully service will help you get that downward to down the road truck and soon!

Changed the compressor and checked the lines. Got it back , took it for a ride, and then took those pictures. This is the third time they are working on it. It gets worse every time they do. Got it last AUG. 22. It has traveled more miles on the back of a tow truck than I have driven it. Good luck with yours!

Sorry to hear. It was a real nightmare when my Jeep went though this. Hope they get it solved!

Funny - our R1S has been doing the same thing. They are going to replace the rear subframe.

Just picked mine up from Gaithersburg SC. They said they had to replace both front struts tied to my air leak (amongst other issue fixes). Will see if it continues. VIN 72xx
