Looking for anyone who is using one? Looking for feedback, specs look like it is to big for the frunk, I like you have 2 zones and has batteries that can last up to 3 days with any electricity.
I have a week long camping trip this summer and think this fits the bill, add a few solar panels and I am set all week.

YouTube videos have been great on it from a number of reviewers. 51 qt with one battery is what I think I am going to order...I can always pick up a second battery later and wife's requirement is electricity the $250 second battery really shouldn't be needed.

I really like the idea of not losing space to ice. Hope to hear some real world experiences. YT reviews are fine and all, but sometimes they have agendas.

I've been eyeing the BougeRV 58QT model - the price has, at times, dropped below $400 on Amazon. The battery is roughly another $200, but for my use case I'm not sure I need it. There's also a cover available for it if that interests you.

One of the biggest appeals of this for me is that it has two zones - that can be configured independently. It would be nice to have ice cubes (or ice cream) on one side while using the other side as a fridge.

I've been happy with my Anker Solix F3800 & Home Power Panel for backup power, they make good products and have decent support, but yea the specs of this don't seem like there's a good storage location on an R1T with the tonneau closed.

Bluetti has one as well, a fan of their batteries that go from portable to power your home. Don't know alot about their fridge/battery system, but probably worth a look before you buy.

It looks pretty big. I doubt it could fit in the frunk trunk, but of course the best way to tell is get the measurements to check.

That said, it would be very heavy to lift up over the front of the truck into the frunk. And the same to get it out.

Also, the heat buildup would be crazy. The frunk from the AC compressor, combined with the heat output from this unit-- I'm not sure how well the cooler would work.

We have an electric cooler that fits in the gear tunnel and connects to the 12 volt outlet. If I wanted to run it on battery, I would just use a large Anker battery with a 12v port to power the cooler

I can’t speak directly to the Anker Solix, but I did cross-shop it at one point and quickly ruled it out once I realized it wouldn’t fit in the bed of my R1T with the tonneau cover closed.

I ended up going with the Iceco VL35 Pro S paired with the insulated cover, and it’s been a great fit—literally. It sits on a Thunderbolt Adventure Supply bed slider in my truck bed. While it’s a single-zone unit, my main priority was making sure it cleared the tonneau. The fridge itself is 15.7" tall, and with the bed slider (from @Thunderbolt Adventure) and cover factored in (about another 1.25"), I’m just under 17" total height. It fits perfectly.

I’ve also know a couple Dometic models meet that same clearance requirement if you're looking for other options.

My exact use case, including the TAS bed slider, so a couple questions on the Iceco unit: is the insulated cover an important option? Would any of the other candidates you considered have provided similar capabilities without the use of an addition insulator cover? Cover just seems like an extra hassle when using. Thanks.
PS: Do you get ā€˜scuffs’ (small scratches) on your bed liner each time you roll the bed glider in/out like I do? And can you provide a source for the hold down straps.

I'm no expert, but I do think the insulated cover adds a bit of thermal efficiency and light padding/protection, which I find useful - especially on longer trips or rougher trails. That said, it's probably not essential. When I was cross-shopping, I also looked at the Dometic CFX3 and CFX2 models, both of which would also fit my use case. Depending on your climate and how frequently you open the fridge, those could work fine without an insulated cover.

The tie down straps are from Rollercam (3' length). Unlike traditional cam buckles, these use a brass roller to reduce friction, so you can tighten them down with minimal effort to reduce slack. They have great holding power and feel really secure. You can grab them on Rollercam's website or Amazon.

As for the bed slider, I wouldn't call it scuffing exactly, but the wheels do wear down the texture of the bed liner over time. Nothing major, but definitely some visible wear if you look closely.
