This! After every successful update the system should reset itself.I did a soft reset and it fixed it. You would think each OTA would perform a reset by default.

Thanks. Soft reset done, still bugged for me.I did a soft reset and it fixed it. You would think each OTA would perform a reset by default.
Rivian let go of many of their UX staff? where'd you hear that?So many have been upset at the poor QA Rivian has of their software releases with all the bugs and resets needed to try and get things right. And Rivian had let go of so many of their user experience staff that people thought that may be a contributing factor. Now Rivian has people paying them to test. I think it is a brilliant move by Rivian!
Yeah, same here. Yesterday morning, service told me my OTA update was scheduled in the next push. But over 24 hours later.....nada. The tech also thought the late scheduling odd.Connect + since the beginning and still nothing for me. Odd...
I suppose I could go park at a Rivian service center somewhere but that seems to really defeat the purpose of OTA.Do firmware updates require WiFi or C+? My R1T shows that there’s an update but it won’t download unless it’s on WiFi. I park in my condo parking garage below ground. I have to bring the car above ground and then use my phone hot spot in order to get it to download anything.
Friend of mine was on the UI team, but he was axed in Feb 23, with a bunch of his coworkers.Rivian let go of many of their UX staff? where'd you hear that?
anyways, this pretty much every s/w company these days. release it in the wild, have customers beta test and find bugs, apologize and move forward.
in the old days that wasn't possible because s/w was delivered on CDs/DVDs or some other storage device. code had to be much more solid than it is today. it wasn't readily downloadable or cloud based. totally different world that allows companies to release s/w, buggy or not, and then quickly send hot fixes or fix with their next release.
where is AI going to take vehicle S/W in the future aside from autonomous driving? it'll be interesting.
It'll do it over LTE, but it's slower and you likely don't have service in an underground lot. So, yes, you'd need Wi-Fi. Connect+ is not a requirement but does give priority in the update queue.Do firmware updates require WiFi or C+? My R1T shows that there’s an update but it won’t download unless it’s on WiFi. Even when I was driving around it says to connect to WiFi to download. It'll do it over LTE, but it's slower and you likely don't have service in an underground lot. So, yes, you'd need Wi-Fi. Connect+ is not a requirement but does give priority in the update queue.
