I'm looking at getting a travel trailer that's ~6500GVWR and comes with an articulating hitch. Some questions about this and weight distribution for my R1S.
- Aside from one Australian brand (McHitch, not available in WD version in US?) there is no WD articulating hitch on the market?
- With an articulating hitch, can you get the same effect as a WD hitch by just loading the trailer more aft of the hitch? The idea being that since the hitch has more up/down strength that you can transfer some of the weight to the front axel by putting the payload in the trailer towards the rear?
- How much of a pain do you think changing from an OEM articulating hitch to a WD ball hitch would it be?
