I'm at our cabin and the car is only half way up the 1/2 mile driveway as there's a few feet of snow and it's steep switchbacks. So we left it and hiked the rest.

Just got a random warning that app is disabled and I can't use it for anything except as a key unless I log back in. If I sign out it won't work as a key, lol.

I keep my passwords in my glove box just in case.

I always have a card in my pocket but use my phone. Have had this same.logout happen to me once before and it still induced a bit of panic.

On a less risky note, Spotify made me update my password days ago and I keep forgetting to log in before driving off.

Yea 1/4 Mile dirt road with steep switch backs. A pain when there's a over two feet of snow and have to haul things up through deep snow on foot. There was a big tree limb down so no reason to fight the snow. Best to put the wife to work on that first.

In any case a warning to all that paak is not the most reliable key; but we knew that I suppose.

Yeah, but I often forget my wallet because who needs/wants a wallet when you're just going to be messing around outside? They just get wet if you fall in the river. And the phone, too. Is there a safe place to stash a card, like wiring an extra key to the undercarriage somewhere? Anyone drilled a hole in one?

Could have been a real problem if all of a sudden the phone no longer works with the app.

We should x Ray a card to see where the NFC chip is. It's going to be tiny. You could do an Elon and sew it under your skin.

I always bring the FOB when heading out partially because I have some ICE vehicles that need a FOB and it is easier for me to remember. When I took my Dad up to see his brother out in woods I made sure to give him a keycard just in case something happened he could get into the vehicle.

How did it handle the snow before you ditched it?
