Bird Chirp Upon Locking

For me I’d like to control the chirp. I’ve already had two randy bluebirds fighting over the right to get it on with my R1T.
…I guess I should be thankful it doesn’t make the sound of a randy honey badger.

We like the locking bird chirp on our R1T. Is there any way to increase the volume of the chirp? By the time she locks, we are at a distance where we can't hear the chirp.

Too much noise pollution already. Why do you need to hear it? Couldn’t you trust that it closes? Has it failed you before? If not, why do you even care.

I can see where this might be an issue and agree the sound should be adjustable. I can hear it but I just trust the car to do what it's supposed to do.

I don't feel confused -- but my parents taught me to appreciate bird sounds, so my brain may make more distinctions than some (but many fewer than a true birdwatcher).

My concern is more practical, and applies even to those who recognize a Rivian chirp. When ours is the only nearby Rivian, we know a Rivian chirp is ours -- but when there are many nearby Rivians, how will we know?

This isn't just theoretical -- my wife's R1T will be parked at the same workplace as "my" R1S, and we often get to work around the same time.

We'll figure it out -- but, as it sells more in some markets, Rivian should consider introducing an increasingly large number of variations on the audible "I'm locked now" signal.

That goes to show that we need to have a variety of sounds available to choose from. If you and I, Bob and Steve end up parking our cars in the same parking lot at the same time, how would we ever know which car locked and which isn't if they all sound the same? See, I worry about real-life problems

I'd probably use the app, which isn't likely to get confused about which car is which. You're right -- if that's my biggest problem, I'm having a VERY GOOD day!!!!

Yes, using your phone to lock the car works too, but what I'm saying is that having more options is better than not having any options.

Supposedly the new update makes the signal more visible, that might help.
I want an unlock chirp as well as lock.

What about parking it in the woods where there are birds making similar sounds? That's real-life mate!

Great suggestions! Maybe we can also add different animal sounds while we are at it? Blue birds are great but how about a red tailed hawk, spotted owl or cougar? That would be sweet locking up at a campground at night ?

I would have to pull out my phone to see it. I would rather hear the lock confirmation.

I am fine with how it is now, but make the app send notification to a wearable Apple watch, or what ever android wearable...2 sec vibration...x device not in proximity doors locked....easy simple setup
