Double Chirp on lock with widget?

That's such a bizarre subject line to read.

Anyway - anyone else hearing their lock chirp happen twice, specifically when locking from the drop-down widget on iPhone?

Pull down, select lock, see lights on door handles turn on, then off, then on, then close and chirp. Then chirp again.

This thing, if "widget" is not the word that my fellow pedants have opted for:

Is it because you're walking away from the vehicle and it's proximity locking at the same time you're hitting the widget?

I have disabled the proximity locking and just use the drop down. It still does twice.

You may be on to something. Even though it is disabled, it may be still sensing it.

You’re not crazy, I have had the same issue. I have assumed it has to do with the proximity lock in some way and have largely ignored it, but it is a thing.

Nope. Sitting here, at home, proximity off.

... but I thought it might be proximity-related, too.

Seeing this with the widget as well. But only in the past week or so. Maybe it was happening before and I didn’t notice.

I noticed this started from the most recent iOS app update. Functionality was perfect prior to this last update. I've been tempted to remove and re-add the widgets to see if the response is improved but feel like something in the update is to blame.
