Black or White Color Choice?

I know there are many other colors, but between these two, genuinely curious which do people prefer? These are for the more conservative people that aren't willing to go with the more bold color choices Rivian offers.

White looks like a fleet vehicle.

I'd go with black. I don't care about high maintenance as RC is worse than black is.

How is RC worse than black? Just curious.

White will be the most durable since it contains titanium dioxide to make it Glacier White.

Same dilemma. I can’t stop thinking about black with a satin PPF wrap. Seems like it could have the benefits of black without the high maintenance. Definitely looks awesome, especially murdered out with full black wheels.

If anyone has owned a matte black vehicle, I’m curious if it’s lower maintenance than gloss black? I’m guessing that it would be, but it would be nice to verify that before committing to it.

Between those two white. I’ve 2 white vehicles and 2 black. Black is just too high maintenance to keep looking clean. I wouldn’t have chosen black the 2nd time if the dealer I bought from had other choices in their lot.

White is $1750 and black is $2500. Black costs more and will always be dirty.

I'm going with white. It just stays cooler in area with lots of sunshine. Easier to maintain too.

In general I really like black vehicles, but I like white better on R1.

I think a lot of it is because I am not a fan of Rivian's front light bar thing. With black paint the light bar really stands out. With white paint, it blends in and is much less obnoxious.

How is RC worse than black? Just curious.

It’s a really deep color that has enough metallic to shift with the lighting. With that it shows dust and dirt even more than black does.

I personally think the blacked out Rivian looks the best, but I just locked my configuration in white. Ive owned black cars before and still own a black motorcycle, but I’m trying white for the first time for lower maintenance.

Usually not a big fan of the mat-black wraps, but on the Rivian, it actually looks pretty good. Not really a fan of the gloss black factory paint. I love black cars generally and have had a ton of them, but for some reason, just don't love it on the Rivian. Probably because it hides too much of the distinctive styling lines of the truck. The mat-black however, appears to allow the truck lines to still shine through. At least in these photos, looks pretty good.
