I think you meant "Even if you call them you ain't getting an update"Nope. It is the Rivian 's way as of late. Unless you call them for update, they would never call you as my last two services experiences.

That was my personal experience, but it has been a while and I hope they are improving.I think you meant "Even if you call them you ain't getting an update"
? well I said you should be getting an update....in other words...if you don't hear anything...reach out and ask for an update. The service centers are working through a serious backlog.I think you meant "Even if you call them you ain't getting an update"
That all sounds positive!UPDATE: I received a call from the Chicago service center and my R1S will be towed back to me tomorrow around noon. Engineering couldn't find any signs that transmission frequencies interfered and bricked her, but the rear passenger side wheel speed sensor was deemed faulty and was replaced. While she was there they also performed the backup light recall service, replaced my front passenger door weather stripping (wind noise issues), and rotated my tires.
I can't wait to get her back tomorrow! Fingers crossed that this was just a freak occurrence.
Thanks,
Ben
Sounds promising. Let us know how it is when you get it back.UPDATE: I received a call from the Chicago service center and my R1S will be towed back to me tomorrow around noon. Very good! Glad you are getting it back and can enjoy over weekend!Just got a call from a different tow company. He has my vehicle on a flatbed and I should have it in 2 hours.
Hmmmm. The vehicle thought that it could be in motion due to the faulty sensor? So a piece of software looks to see if wheels are in motion and if they are AND the parking brake is engaged, it assumes the parking brake malfunctioned, throws a parking brake fault and bricks the vehicle?Wheel speed sensor.

Definitely sounds like "err on the side of caution from unexpected signal input". Hopefully Rivian engineering getting involved means they can improve their software hardiness from a failure they may not have seen before.Hmmmm. Sounds like a girl I knew in high school. On a serious note-I am very sorry you had to go through this. I am a huge Rivian fan. However, there are too many "bricked" stories. Either Rivian needs to fix this or at the very least make it so that people in these situation get escalated and taken care of quickly. Waiting in a parking lot till 3am is not a good experience.I completely agree. On Saturday night I would have taken cash for it though. But after having time to calm down, I realize I only want my Rivian back. My wife has a different opinion, and wants to see it gone. I’m willing to give it another try, because really, nothing else really compares.
