Charging During Extended Away

This has probably been asked a thousand times, but wondering what the latest consensus is:

I’ll be traveling for a few weeks and my R1S will remain in my garage. Should I:

a) Charge it up and leave it unplugged and let vampire drain happen?
b) Leave it tethered to the charger and set the limit to 70%?

Bonus: If tethered will it maintain a charge at the limit or would I have to remotely intervene to start charging it occasionally?

I'll contact my guide and see if there is a recommendation. For Tesla for example it says to set the charge limit to 60% and leave it plugged in.

First off, my vampire drain is about 1% per day (sometimes less) with GG and AC off with the truck in the garage with temps in the mid 70's.

Since June, I've had to leave my R1T for 42 days and again for 28 days. The first time I charged to 85% before leaving and left it plugged in on a nightly schedule to 70%. That worked out ok, but the top off every night after the first two weeks seemed a bit too much.

For the 28 day trip I charged to 95% before leaving, left it plugged in and set the schedule for nightly to 60%. The SoC never reached 60% over the 28 days. When I got home the SoC was 68%.

I think the next time I have to leave it for a long period I'll charge to 90%, leave it plugged in and charge it once a week to 70%.

With 1% vampire drain (which is still too much) and starting with a 90%+ SoC, I'm sure I could leave it for a couple of months unplugged and not worry about it. But there's definitely peace of mind knowing (hoping?) that I won't return to a dead battery if I leave it plugged in.

Side note: I never opened the app to wake up the truck on either of the trips.

Option B for the win! I always leave my EV plugged in when not in use if st all possible.

I routinely leave my R1T for periods such as this due to travel. I am confident I could leave it for 30 days without an issue. I charge to 70% & lose 1-2% per day (usually 1%). I occasionally wake up the vehicle when I travel just to see where it is on charge so I probably waste a little. If it got super low, I would have a friend stop by and plug it in.

I've travelled up to 10 days so far. I just leave it plugged in at 70%. Every so often, it'll just trickle charge for a few minutes when it drops a % or 2. Probably recharged 1-2kW total over that 10 days, but I also keep it in my climate controlled garage unlocked, so there's not really opportunity for it to drain needlessly.
