I had my EVSEs listed as "publicly available" on PlugShare for four years.1. Don't worry about it. No one is parking in your driveway to charge their car for hours.
It does work this way - the charger can be plugged in but won’t attempt to charge until the allowed time or until you override it. I think this is a good option for you if you do overnight charging. Also if you leave for an extended period of time, you could take the wall connector end and close the garage door on the cord so no one could get to it. Amazon does sell some lockbox type solutions too.i *think* so too. As I understand it, if you implement scheduled charging time, that restricts the wall charger operation to those times, yes? Then you can override that by saying “charge now” in the app? Maybe?
Unclear. Maybe someone can confirm if it works that way…
Another option is Emporia’s invite2charge feature, although that is really intended for multiple users.
This is perfect - exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!It does work this way - the charger can be plugged in but won’t attempt to charge until the allowed time or until you override it. I think this is a good option for you if you do overnight charging.
Yep. I looked. And said a big nope. The reviews are not good for homeowners compared to to the competition. My home network is a full Ubiquiti stack. Router, switches, NAS. I’m a big fan. But this is not for me.It can be installed at home, but it is designed for low-level commercial use. however it does address the original question.
