I'm in Houston, and also have it throttled way down. I've got the Rivian branded wall charger on a 60amp circuit and was charging at 11kw last year no issues until a few months ago it would stop charging and display an error. The local SC could not find any issues because their units are only wired for 8kw. I DC fast charged a few times until people on here suggested lowering the amps on the display. Also DC fast charging also would error if I left the vehicle and it slept. I noticed stations that charged by the time would reconnect and keep charging, however EVgo stations and those that charged per kw would just stop charging. This wouldn't be an issue if I waited inside the truck.

Then came the "fix" update. It doesn't error, just throttles down to 6~8kw. The charging times are now are much longer. Which isn't ideal for those who drive their trucks 100 to 150miles a day. It's all anecdotal data but I can't believe that this is normal as some of us in same ambient or higher temperatures are able to charge at the full 11kw consistently. I'm even seeing telltales about DC fast charging disabled due to warm plug just driving or "starting" up.

Makes you wonder what kind of testing they did developing this truck if this is an issue.

Was the fix update for the truck or for the Wall Charger?
