That is great news for some lucky order holders. When you have time share your impressions on the truck and the whole experience if you’re up for it.I asked the rep during my test drive about CO deliveries, she said only 10 have been delivered so far but they are ramping up deliveries in the next few weeks and are expecting to hold delivery windows.
@Bttrylfe could you please tell us a little more about your test drive? Did you start at the service center? What features did you get to review? Overall impressions?I asked the rep during my test drive about CO deliveries, she said only 10 have been delivered so far but they are ramping up deliveries in the next few weeks and are expecting to hold delivery windows.
While I'm genuinely excited for you that you got to experience an R1 in person, it boggles my mind that your invite was prioritized over others that have been waiting for ~3 years.I asked the rep during my test drive about CO deliveries, she said only 10 have been delivered so far but they are ramping up deliveries in the next few weeks and are expecting to hold delivery windows.

The drive experience was fun but I didn't learn anything new, it seemed more geared toward people who are not very familiar with Rivian. It mostly confirmed everything we have seen on the forum, and have seen through previous updates. The appointment was for 45 minutes with a Launch Green R1T and the Specialist made sure to keep close track of time. I had to pick a place close to my address so I picked my house. I tried asking questions about delivery windows and delays if configurations were changed but the specialist did not have the answers and deferred to CS. It unfortunately reaffirms my opinion that Rivian doesn't actually value those that have been supporting them the longest.
Please do share your opinions of the test drive. Seems likely that may be the closest some of us ever get to test driving one.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing all of that. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but a couple of new answers to questions I’ve seen here:The drive experience was fun but I didn't learn anything new, it seemed more geared toward people who are not very familiar with Rivian. Screens, including navigation were quick and responsive. I didn't see any lag that has been previously reported.
All video from the cameras was clear.
The interior had plenty of room, including the back seat.
Overall quality of fit and finish felt great with no QC issues jumping out at me.
Acceleration was very responsive without being too jumpy.
I had regen set to medium and one pedal driving was very smooth.
Size was about what I expected, similar to a Tacoma but a little bigger.
Gear guard currently does not have the ability to view live video on the app but is planned for future updates.
Height of the truck can not be dropped remotely, only from inside the truck.
No issues opening or closing the tonneau cover.
Preconditioning in the winter turns on the climate and heated wheel but not the seats.
I was not able to drive it into my garage to test fit due to liability.
Overall it would have been nice to have more time with the truck, and test it off road, similar to the first drive events, but was good to see it up close. Because of the limited time it was hard to take the time to think of questions.
The tone from the Specialist was very positive about the ramp up for the Denver Service Center. She mentioned that with things ramping up they are not inviting people to the service center but are continuing to schedule drives along with deliveries.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Everything I have heard said that there were only 2 levels of regen - normal and high. Are there more now?...I had regen set to medium and one pedal driving was very smooth.

I would assume so as well, but forgot to confirmI assume the same applies to summer?
She was saying normal is medium. There was off, normal and high.Everything I have heard said that there were only 2 levels of regen - normal and high. Are there more now?
I actually asked about this. I was hoping there was the ability to drop the height remotely. Currently the only way to drop the height is from the truck UI. I could see it being an update down the road but sounds like its not a priority at the moment. You didn't happen to ask about automatically going into kneel mode at certain locations, did you? Or even when stopped (I mean parked).
Thank you! I think they added the ability to turn off regen. I had heard it was always on. But I love regen so will keep it on.I would assume so as well, but forgot to confirm

Same here....R1S LE going from 78k to 91.5k...that's a joke especially after being told two weeks ago that the prices for LEs wouldn't change...divesting my Rivian shares as well. The shares will get crushed once it becomes clear that they've lost 50% or more of their reservationsI haven't cancelled my order yet, but I'm probably going to do exactly that. I guess I'll hold my reservation so I can at least drive an R1T once.
good idea...pay back timeStrongly considering keeping my reservation solely to take full advantage of the 7 day/1000 mile money-back guarantee. Expect 999 hard miles on the ODO when I return it.
I'm spiteful, and Rivian did us real dirty.
