Was at the Denver SC this morning. The crew as prepping an LG R1T for delivery while I was there. I chatted with them and they said they had four R1S's on the lot right now with five more coming in the next week.

Does anyone have data on the impact to efficiency between the regular 20" ATs and the Brights? The Brights are more closed and would seem to be more aero but I like the styling of the regular ATs.

I can't explain why, but Limestone on the R1S looks better to me than on the R1T, and I thought it looked pretty darn nice on the T.
I can't be changing my mind on color every 3 weeks. You folks should really stop posting beautiful R1S photos! ?

It sure is. The other day I saw 2 within 30 minutes in Longmont. Saw a GW cross an intersection in front of me, then on my way home an LG was right behind me.

I'm assuming that these are Trucks and not the S. I've been seeing more and more as well. Hoping to start seeing more R1Ss on the road very soon.

Yes, sorry. Both were trucks. I guess we are at the point where we should specify now, which is good news. I haven’t seen an R1S in the wild yet.

yeah i have asked CS to put me on the list since inception... nothing but crickets, May 2019 reservation for the S...

Well, I guess I complained and whined enough. After talking with CS on Friday morning, I got a call back asking if I could do a "First Drive" on 17 Sep! YAY! Not sure what I did differently other than get the right guy on the phone. I referenced this forum in my call and the info from you guys about the SC indicating they had capacity for drives. I'll let you know how it goes. Be persistent...good luck...

@Ravenron - I am glad you got a drive. I had a similar experience. I came on here and complained that I couldn't get one and then magically 48 hours later I had one.

Congrats on finally getting your drive! It shouldn't be that hard

For those still trying to schedule in Denver, my drive guide last month specifically said that when you call in to the main customer care number they do have access to the appointment schedules for each service center and can either book directly or call the SC to inquire about availability on your behalf. That is what she suggested to my friend who has no reservation yet but wants a drive in an R1S asap.

So keep trying - I have a feeling it just takes getting a person on the phone who will actually do their job. Just like every place we call these days that usually takes many calls to accomplish that... sad but true.

Based on my communications with CS they will begin R1S First Mile drives soon, however, if you have received a drive with an R1T you will be precluded from a second drive. I would be very interested to hear of anyone getting an R1S drive @ the Denver service center.

We have some awesome Denver area members - thanks to HimuraMOdo who let us look at his beautiful blue/forest green R1T up close and personal this weekend. My kids approved and hope mine comes soon! I too have been seeing a lot more here in Denver recently.

Fine by me, we'll have an entire convoy of Rivian's! Good news is I'm basically a decade away from them behind the wheel so maybe they can have my original one once it's time.
