Has anyone done the drive from Denver to Houston? We are looking at driving for Thanksgiving with staying in Wichita Falls on the way down and Amarillo on the way back. Looking at ABRP its a couple of long stretches with no options if EA is not working or efficiency is less than expected.

Haven't done the drive but would love to know the route you choose if successful...Also, how long it takes you...

You don’t want to do Amarillo. There are no chargers between Amarillo and Trinidad, CO. The one charger on the path is from Tesla.

That is what I am afraid of. According to ABRP I can either detour 45 mins east to Eric, Oklahoma or limit my speed to 65mph with a 2.0 efficiency. Problem is my wife is very impatient and going 65 in the middle of nowhere will not go well for me.

Just to support what you are already concluding, I made this drive in a 310 rated miles Tesla M3 in July. Without the supercharger in Clayton, the stretch between Trinidad and Amarillo would have been impossible if driving the speed limit. It's not uncommon to pick up severe headwinds in that section of the panhandle.
That stretch is a prime candidate for a CCS charger.

Really happy to see this come through today! My order date was Dec 2021. They actually moved UP my window. Unsurprisingly, my father in law who ordered Nov 2021 got a Jan-Feb 2023 delivery window but he lives in Fort Collins so maybe that has something to do with it.

well I had to give up my max pack dream. I dont think the max pack is happening before 2025. Reconfigured to the large pack. Hopefully the charging network gets better or towing is going to suck.

Anyone interested in going in on a set of four 20” AT tires? I couldn’t add a spare to my R1 Shop order unfortunately. When I picked up the truck I was told to just submit a service ticket and they could sell me a spare but service tells me they can only sell a set of four.

Save a spot for me at the Colorado Rivian coffee and off-road gatherings. I'll see you in my R1S sometime between Jan and Dec 2024. As an optimist, I believe this will give the IRS time to figure out if Rivian meets the domestic content rules for the new tax credit. And, time for Rivian to work out more bugs.
My email today didn't surprise me at all given my Dec 2021 reservation. I'd be happy seeing all the patient 2, 3, and 4 year reservation holders get their vehicles, and for Rivian to ramp up to a profitable production rate, while improving quality off the line.
I'm also sure that the start of 2024 will see the introduction of Android Auto. ?
My only hard delivery requirement is to have the vehicle by July 2024 to have time to trek to far northern region of the Canadian Arctic, and live with an Inuit community until all the 2024 election ads are off the TV, radio, and all social media. The R1S is salvation.
