My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Figured people here would get a kick out of this. Honestly, it isn't much worse than it was in my Tundra, and it's only going 3 miles to the harbor at the yacht club where we always put in. But man - it looks silly.

That’s how I’ve always hauled mine in the F150 and it’s only 1 foot longer bed!

It’s about 14’. Works just fine - using the bed extender and 3 straps for safety, and only going a few miles, anyway.

Is there no way to mount it on the roof with the board(s) hanging out the back of the bed?
For sure, with the right mounts. But the reason I use the bed is that it’s so much easier to get in and out. I wouldn’t think to transport it this way for anything out of town, though.

Thanks! I'll be doing something similar; Yakima bed extender, but also using a crossbar so i can put everything else in the bed.

Did the same with a 12' 6" paddleboard and, I agree, it felt comical. Was embarassed to post on here looking for a better way that doesn't include the roof. Made parallel parking interesting! Good thing I just traveled about 3 blocks down the hill.

Oh dang, those look good. We have an old canoe that is probably due for replacement anyway!
