It’s about 14’. Works just fine - using the bed extender and 3 straps for safety, and only going a few miles, anyway.ive seen worse.
what is the length of your kayak? I'll be doing the same for my Hobie Lynx.
For sure, with the right mounts. But the reason I use the bed is that it’s so much easier to get in and out. I wouldn’t think to transport it this way for anything out of town, though.
