I just installed the comma 3x and open pilot on my 23 r1t. I must be missing something because adaptive cruise is not working. It appears the comma is not recognizing the lead car so it does not apply the brakes. Anyone have experience that can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Do you have the add-on longitudinal harness? If so, you can't use it with Open Pilot, you have to use Sunny Pilot. If you don't have the harness, then the Comma doesn't handle ACC, the Rivian does.

By longitudinal harness are you referring to the r1t specific harness that plugs in the under passenger side dash? If so yes that is installled

No. I mean the add-on harness sold by xnor tech out of Europe.

So i guess i need to go back to the start. How are people happiest with using comma with rivian? What is the appropriate setup and use expectation?

@gerrylum or @LivingInKaos can probably guide you in the right direction.

The setup that I am using is the vehicle harness sold on Xnor.Shop by Lukas.

https://xnor.shop/products/rivian-generation-1-harness-kit

I also added the longitudinal upgrade kit for the harness that supports xnor / loetkolben harness. If you buy it at the same time, you can save €100.

https://xnor.shop/products/rivian-r1s-r1t-gen1-longitudinal-upgrade-kit?variant=53071588131139

I am running Sunnypilot and the experience has been great with over 3000+ miles.

If you decide to upgrade to Xnor.shop longitudinal upgrade kit, you can select the right drop down for the stock comma harness if that is what you bought.

I’m with MidnightRivian on his recommendations, but I do need to add that the current administration's tariff policies have made ordering from Xnor a total nightmare right now since Lukas is based in Germany. The charges are brutal—but to his credit, Lukas has stepped up and is covering part of the costs, which is going above and beyond for his customers.

Yeah, I just purchased from xnor. UPS charged me an additional $135.
To add insult, I installed the additional harness piece, downloaded Sunnypilot and still no longitudinal support. Also I get "No panda" fault.
I need to reach out to to Lucas now that he should be back from vacation.

What was the link you used to download Sunnypilot? You should be using 'sunnypilot/staging'

Fortunately I ordered and received my xnor add on harness just before the tariffs. I’m all in on SunnyPilot. It works sooooo well. 😊
