Contacts needed to SYNC every time

I just started my lease on a 2025 R1S, and I'm loving it so far! Quick question, I’m hoping has a simple fix:


Every time I get into the vehicle, I can’t make a phone call from the UI until my iPhone contacts finish syncing. I also have a Samsung Fold and a second iPhone paired with the R1S.


Has anyone else run into this issue? Are there any tips or settings I should check to avoid the contact delay every time I enter the vehicle?

Unfortunately, that's just what it does. They've sped it up over the years, it used to take much longer.

After I posted, I saw a whole thread of people having the same issue. Hard to believe Rivian still can’t download a simple contact file. I rent cars from Hertz all the time—even the compact ones with basic Bluetooth, ask if you want to download contacts. Seems like an easy fix.
