I cannot believe that of the thousands of laws we need to be made aware of, one was chosen to be in English and French and in an aggressively conspicuous place on cars that cost over $100,000, or even inexpensive cars. I hate these things, and they're not even removable by owner like mattress tags.

I mostly did this by eye and light measurement, and with scrap vinyl, but I would love to use a vinyl cutting machine and get a precise fit. Next is to find a nice sticker like Gary to put as my own Easter egg on the larger label. What are your ideas?

I'm not a big fan of the warnings but they are on all vehicles. Our R1S visors are down most of the time so doesn't bother me too much.

You covered the label with high reflective purple vinyl? I'm not sure which one inflames my senses more.

If you want custom made covers, I believe they do exist: https://www.brainexplodermerch.com/product-page/visor-warning-covers-rivian-r1t-r1s

I think those warning placards have been there long enough in so many cars, my brain already filters them out.
Yeah, that product was the inspiration, but I wanted to try doing it myself for fun. Brain exploder sort of looks like it's not in business, a lot of things are out of date and out of stock, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to place an order.

Don't worry, I'm not offended. I was using offcuts of black satin, but none were large enough to cover it. And I have borealis, so the purple isn't completely off base… I'm planning to put a vinyl sticker of something fun over it. I just wanted to get something done!

I got their camp speaker drawer a year ago... I think its a sole proprietor, so he/she probably just gets batches of products.

I saw RJ Scaringe being asked about these covers by Daniel Tosh on his podcast some time ago. Apparently Tosh bought those for his R1T and RJ wasn't really discouraging it. He basically just said he understands but can't do anything about it.

There's a thread on here that I can't dig up right now on mobile about removing the stickers entirely. Some people have had great success with that, apparently!

I bought the BrainExploder ones about 5 months ago and they work great. They seem to be in stock now and I highly recommend them.

They’re required to be on at vehicle delivery to the customer. That’s it. Customers are free to remove them/cover them/etc as soon as you take delivery. Just like the tags on mattresses.

I have developed the “selective blindness,” I don’t even notice them any more.
