The potential problem is clearance with the garage door. I know our Rivian will just fit under our garage door frame. Definitely not on skates/dollies though.
Let's just remove garage door...boom

I guess you could say these are pretty heavy.

(The tow driver was the best and took his time, there was just no way to get the bed fully pulled back up without lifting the front for a second.

Good start to second week with the truck. Currently about 825 miles on it:

They are gonna have fun getting it out of my garage, won’t even go into neutral.
Good lord…. Looks like Tesla Plaid-like maladies have followed us to Rivian-land…

If I could raise the roof maybe a parking lift, too.
Use wheel trollies and remove the air from the Rivian tires to offset the additional height.

While I’m waiting on the second tow attempt, I used the pigtail to get enough power to unlock it, got my stuff out, but can’t get the frunk to pop. The manual release cable is hidden behind a trim panel that looks like it won’t come off without breaking. I’ve got a teslatap, tesla charger, and a whole bunch of adapters in the frunk I wish I could get out.

I think the lightning is going to be a better truck. It may be slower and less “advanced”, but it has a manual door lock and key, and a manual frunk release, and 12v battery access right in the frunk.

Just seems better engineered.

Consequently my lariat reservation has just come up ready to order.

Going to take delivery of it next year and compare I suppose.

I have a cyber truck res too.

I wanna try all 3. ?
Cybertruck on order since 11/19 launch days as well. Not interested in a Ford or Chevy anything.

Had the same issue. It was the HV battery pack. It took 4 tow driver's in my case. Took about two weeks to replace.

Sucks for Rivian. That can’t be cheap. Few bad packs probably equals a whole truck lost. Hopefully they are rare.

surely they refurbish the packs? Doubt they’re out the cost of an entire unit.

It may be worth it to have an extra 12v battery around for modern EVs. The 12v Battery died after 3 1/2 years service in my Model 3 last summer. Tesla Mobile Service came and replaced it in my driveway under warranty and the next day the replacement died. Tesla sent out another tech and this time was the charm. 12v batteries just fail. I still don’t understand why they engineer a 12v battery into the 12v circuit when it seems to me a simply step down transformer module could suffice somewhere.
A transformer wouldn't work, transformers are AC devices. What is needed is a DC-DC converter, a much. more complicated but still inexpensive device.
