Has anyone gone down the road of disassembling their R1T dashboard? I've got a very annoying rattle that appears to be near the speaker grille on the top of the dashboard but I have yet to figure out how to take it apart. Bueller?

Cheers!

I’ve been on the fence about this, also having the rattle.
Service will take care of it under warranty, but I also want to run some wires for accessories.

Sorry- no insight… but subscribed:)

the closest I’ve seen is the dashboard removed on Munro Live on Youtube.

I have the rattle as well. It's been to service center to have it addressed (along other small things). Seemed to have been fixed for a few days and it came back. Honestly not sure they took anything apart. They did mention a LOT has to come out for the dash pad to be removed (pillars, lower panels, etc.). This is why I haven't tried tackling it myself. Truck goes back in to SC next month since they actually damaged the front fascia panel and are replacing it.

I would suggest only taking your dash apart to fix a rattle with the expectation that once complete you will end up with shot nerves, poor fitment and three new much more annoying rattles.
Instead I recommend emptying a few cans of expanding spray foam into every crack in the dash.

Obviously don't do this.

I’d put in a service request first. “There was a rattle so I took the dashboard apart” is a great way to hsve warranty coverage denied for the same concern because the argument can be made that customer disassembly damaged something.

Good points guys. Went ahead and booked an appointment. Maybe when the truck is out of warranty I'll play around?

@cbaker7 Did your dashboard speaker assembly issue get resolved? I notice it more going over rough road and also some with high music volume

Not here- ended up having them come do it via mobile tech. I didn't want to break anything (and the tech showed me specifically, the clips that hold the dashboard speaker grate in break very easily (and they're sharp enough to break skin!)

I also have the same dashboard rattle in my R1S. First noticed it and filed a ticket on the 2nd day of ownership, earliest Service Center appointment was in August... So I'll have to get by until then.

I had the same issue. Brought it in and it was fixed. So far so good with no annoying rattles from the dash. Below is a summary of the work. Now I just need them to fix the rattle on the passenger side door, and hopefully fix the wind noise. They say the wind noise is normal, but I'll have to start taping areas to find the problem.

Concern:
- Customer states "Loose rattling trim on front dash where speaker cover is when going on
uneven roads." ------------- - This last occurred on 05/07/2023 at approximately . - The concern was
observed under these conditions: When driving on rough roads ------------- - This is a new issue
with multiple occurrences

I had this issue and with this part of the mesh grill. I was able to address my rattle with a small DIY project. Happy to share if you’re getting the same rattle.

Quick way to diagnose: If you drive over the same road while you active press down on the middle part of the mesh grill, do you still hear the rattling?
