I'm at the tail end of a 3600 mile trip. Three times I've tried to charge, Level 3, above 90%. All three times the charging stopped with an error at 89% and wouldn't restart. This was at two EA and one RAN charger. Outside temps between 40 and 58 deg F. All 3 tries were after 2+ hours of interstate driving, but with the battery preconditioned.
I've been able to Level 1 and 2 charge to 94% in the past.
Does this sound like the battery thermal issues folks had earlier this year? I thought I read that they mostly went away after an OTA update.

But why would it cause an error?
Maybe it's a built-in check with Rivian vehicles? I'll actually have a truck and an informed opinion in about 3 hours. :)

It's not and yes it's slow to DC charge >80% but there are plenty of real world reasons why you might want to, I have many times.

I can confirm that I have DC charged my Rivian to 99%.

That was 2 months ago, so it is possible that recent software changed something so I suspect that the OP's vehicle (or the chargers) is broken. I would submit a service ticket.

Saying well you shouldn't charge past 80% anyway is only practical in places with lots of chargers. When the nearest charger is more than 200 miles away you can't stop at 80% even if you really wanted to.

Where was the error displayed? On the truck or the charger? Do you have your charge limit set to 90%?

I had the charge limit set to 94%.
When the charging stopped, the message in the car was something to the effect of "the station has interrupted your charging session."

But I also have an update. After posting I had one more station that I needed to charge >90%. I set the car to 92% and it worked fine. This was also an EA station and outside temp was about the same. So who knows. May just be coincidence that I hit 3 bad chargers.
