I love the concept of Gear Guard, but I hate Gary. The whole cartoonish thing going on with Rivian lately has gotten worse over time. First it was just a terrible depiction of Gary (what is he exactly anyway?) that looks like it was drawn by a 5-year-old with Crayons. And now we're going to soon see Gary emblems on the back of some Rivians. I don't think Gary is cute or fun or playful or whatever Rivian is trying to convey with the whole Gary monster idea. It just takes away from the high tech image of the vehicle/company. That said, I'm also not a fan of the new cartoonish looking UI that Rivian moved towards, even though Rivian is seemingly so proud of their new interface.

I dont hate the character but the crappy MS paint drawing is f'n ugly
Hopefully they re-do it. Looks unprofessional. The character itself, a yeti wearing outdoor gear? No problemo

Nobody In our Vo-Tech high school class thought that Gary would ever amount to anything, what with always going around high as a kite and sticking that damn Betamax camcorder that he found in his grandfather’s sock drawer after he died in everyone’s face all the time.

Well, look at him now…how wrong we all were. It just goes to show that you can’t judge a Sasquatch by his matted hair, poor dental hygiene or choice of era for outer garment.
