I think this post would make a bit more sense if you actually see Gary (the yeti) more often. The only times I'd expect you to see Gary is when you walk up to the car if gear guard is on, or when you're setting up your gear guard settings within the menu system. I kind of forget that Gary is even part of the system itself TBH.

Either way. Fuck it. Who cares. Also the new cel-shading is SO good. I always thought it was weird to have real life photos imposed on the screen when selecting different drive modes..

My 6yo’s favorite thing is to tap on the (locked) rear screen a few times till Gary comes out to wave. Cool easter egg if you ask me. Kid breaks out laughing every time and always shows that off to friends

Hate is very strong word for an opinion about a cartoonish mascot.... I am not a fan of the character but I can understand the concept. Create a warm and fuzzy creature that will soften the techie image of the EV truck and add a family friendly vibe. It's marketing. I agree the rendering of the character itself comes off as crude. Hopefully not the result of nepotism - drawn by the kid of some C-Suite exec. Adding it as a badge on the truck? Simple fix: just remove it

This is the sole reason, when asked, my kids (8 & 4) prefer to ride in my truck instead of mom's Telluride.

I'm not bothered by some whimsy but without kids I would be indifferent. However, I fell in love with cars at a very young age and if a fuzzy yeti gets my kids passionate about the cars I enjoy, I'm all in.
