Does NJ require inspection sticker?

I just received my license plates and registration. Included in the packet was a form that says I need to get my truck inspected within 14 days. I thought EVs did not require inspection in NJ. Did anyone try to get their trucks inspected?

No. Per this, 100% electric vehicles are exempt. https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/inspection/exemptinsp.htm

Nope, I actually went to MVC but was turned away at the gate when they asked me to pop the hood to confirm it's an EV.
