Speculation is that 2027 Highlander starts at $55k so it would compete more with the EV9 as a 3 row. Looks like it will easily get optioned up into the 60s. Although on specs like battery size and charging, it looks like it will be similar to R2.If it delivers the range, the Toyota Highlander will be a bigger threat to R2 than BMW. I think BMW will maintain its current market share overall.
I think R2 and Toyota will be priced very similarly. While it competes with EV9, lot of people don't want a KIA for various reasons. Looks like they are valid as KIA has ongoing, unresolved issues with dc-dc converter. I wouldn't want either as they both usually cut corners with safety.Speculation is that 2027 Highlander starts at $55k so it would compete more with the EV9 as a 3 row. I'd guess that the AWD version of the Highlander EV will start at ~$53k. These are the current base MSRP + dest for Toyota's EV AWD SUV line-up:I think R2 and Toyota will be priced very similarly.
I expect long range AWD versions of R2 and Highlander to cost around $55k. Any higher and they are unlikely to sell in meaningful numbers.I'd guess that the AWD version of the Highlander EV will start at ~$53k. These are the current base MSRP + dest for Toyota's EV AWD SUV line-up:
C-HR: $38,450
BZ: $41,350
BZ Woodland: $46,750
Maybe Toyota squeaks the FWD Highlander in under $50k, but I highly doubt the AWD version will stay under that threshold.
Can you imagine the pack the stealerships are gonna add on the top of theseThe iX3 is going to be a hit, but man I can’t stand how pretty much any modern BMW looks.
