In the riv app where you set charge limit it gives you miles at that SOC. If I set to 100% it quotes 277 miles for our r1s, AT, large pack vs 289 quoted on the website. Does anyone know if that is based on actual pack capacity and that means degradation, or if that is influenced based on other factors - driving efficiency, temp, etc.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Which drive mode is the vehicle in? That’s what the app will show based on SOC and config.

The GOM (guess-o-meter) is based on previous driving habits, so if you’re in All-Purpose and it’s showing 277, then the truck thinks your driving is a little less efficient than default.

Missed mode - yes AP. Is there any metric shown that isn't guesstimated, ie available kwh * baseline consumption per mile based on your tire config and model? My lifetime efficiency over 3,000 miles is 2.11 miles per kilowatt hour which times 129 kwh is 272 mi, so it makes sense...ish but not totally

I tried resetting the statistics through the car UI on the energy screen and after reset the car and app didn't change - are still projecting 273 miles if charged to 100% - is it possible that the battery has degraded 15 miles in less than 3k miles? Is anyone seeing similar numbers?

I have found that, compared to my Model Y, Rivian range estimates to be fair and mostly accurate. Tesla estimates have been notoriously poor and inaccurate.

agree on the range estimates, however i don't love the lack of visibility into battery health. With our Tesla, the display on the main screen is rated efficiency X KWH available in the pack, so when it displays 303 miles at 100% SOC i know my pack health is 93% (vs 325 new). Would be nice to get the equivalent from the Rivian, so i can figure out if it's just my driving history or actual degradation

Mine shows 275 in AP w/AT tires and 305 in Conserve. It won’t move past 275, even when the percentage is still going up and it’s still pulling power into the batteries.

The dash doesn't tell you Jack-shit. You need canBus access to see what the battery is actually doing on your Tesla.

i'm seeing similar behavior. i reset the statistics and don't see any changes as well. still saying 273 miles estimated. drove 50 miles after and it didn't change either

Oh wow! I tried twice, but it didn’t make it past 275, but about 5 miles into my drive, it started decreasing as usual. Did you let it continue to add power after it stalled at 273? I stopped mine after a little while, when o noticed it wasn’t increasing anymore, but still taking power.

It’s based on your driving habits/data. You’ve been having too much fun with the go pedal.

I think the app and the truck range aren't coordinated. If I go into the app and plan to leave at 100% I get 324 miles in AP, the truck under charging says 317 miles in AP.
