This reminds me of how I feel about boats. “Life’s too short for an ugly boat.”

Good luck! Chevy is notoriously concerned with their customers needs.

Awaiting R1T
Glad Chevy is still making their EV truck. Last I heard and hasn’t bailed like Ford (will see what’s next from them in the mid-size).

I had the Silverado EV as a loaner-rental in one of my R1Ts several Rivian SC visits. I really liked it. It would be a great work truck. But the R1T fits me and my garage better. Despite some issues I’m very pleased with my Gen1 R1T, almost 3 years in.

I hope we see growth of EV trucks in the market.

GM was supposed to be opening the Orion plant with EV truck production this year, including models they haven't shipped yet. They walked that back last year and are switching it to gas trucks.

Rivian R1T Launch 4/22
I traded my R1T for a Volvo EX90 last month. The EX 90 is literally the most comfortable, quiet, luxurious vehicle I've ever driven by far. I enjoyed my Rivian but I think they are going to struggle as a company in this economic environment unfortunately. They should have moves to the lower priced R3 before the R2, the masses can no longer afford more expensive.

That would have been a terrible move.

People want vehicles the size of the R2.

Those look GREAT! A very different style of boating than I do these days, but there's certainly nothing wrong with that.

I have pictures someplace in the forum here: I have a '07 Yamaha SX230 HO. Great for taking the kids tubing/boarding, cruising the SF Bay to watch the annual airshow, etc.

From my understanding…Ford isn’t bailing on the EV, they are working on adapting a gas inverter/generator, much like the Scout design, to extend range.

The new media narrative wants you to believe EV’s have failed so that’s the way they are going. After all Elon bad so we need to hurt Tesla (rolling eyes).

Hey, cut it out! We're trying to talk about boats here! 🤣

I hope your EX90 experience is better than everyone else's that I know who has owned one. Their software and reliability has been next level bad.

EX90 is over $80K and I disagree the car market over $60K has been booming the last 2 years. Without the R1 there would be no R2 and without the R2 there won't be an R3.

At this point I'm more confident Rivian will survive than GM continuing EV trucks.

Hold on now. We can’t cite to Reddit only when we want to lol. Everyone here says that the Rivian Reddit is a mess and full of complainers that do not represent the average Rivian experience.

Same for Volvo.
