EVGo has said they dropped autocharge+ support for Rivian. If you had it setup before they dropped support for it then it will still work, but setting up a new vehicle isn't currently supported.

Thanks. That explains the difference. If you've got it, you got it. If you don't have it, you can't get it. Wonderful.

Did you contact Rivian support about this? I would be curious what their response would be seeing that they touted this as a feature in the 2023.30 release and it does work on some of the vehicles.

Yup and they had they said it should work. I then contacted EVgo again and they said "Rivian doesn't know what they are talking about because we are the ones who disabled it".

I don't use EVgo hardly ever so I really didn't care to pursue it any further since it didn't appear I was getting anywhere. As for working on "some of the vehicles"... my understanding isn't that it's "some of the vehicles" rather only those vehicles who set it up before EVgo pulled the plug.

Call EVgo yourself and ask them. I would be interested to see what they tell someone else.

Agreed. I don't know why EA doesn't make their charger status available to the public (e.g. on PlugShare and in the Rivian navigation) and I don't know why EA doesn't implement plug and charge. Both would help my overall impression of EA.
EA does have plug and charge, it works on my Mach E. The issue is on the Rivian side, not EA. For my Mach E, the billing is via my Ford account, not EA directly. Also, with my Ford the EA live status is on the nav, they are connected to EA. The billing has to get set up on the server side.

It works fine for me so contacting them would not yield much.

It just seems strange that if they actually booted Rivian out of the program that any of the vehicles would work.

Considering it happened right after there was a thread on this forum about EVgo Autocharge+ supposedly being a "security threat" I'm no so sure it wasn't related, but I don't have evidence of that either way. Just happened to be at the same time.
