Might be a really dumb question, but couldn’t find any other threads with this issue. I just picked up my R1S today and I can’t figure out how to get the flashlight to pop out. I press it in and it just stays stuck in the holder. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else had this issue?

I think you have to push it in far enough for it to then pop out. Is it staying recessed in the door?

You should be able to push it in and it pops out part way by itself.

Perhaps try wiggling it around while you're pressing it in.. that may free it up.

It functions like a pen, click it and it pops out, click it again and it retracts.

That at least hopefully gives you an idea of how it functions typically.

Mine also doesn’t pop out but if I push it a bunch of times in quick sequence it reliably releases. If I just push it all the way in once and release it just returns back it’s locked position.

Got it, that’s exactly what happens to me. I’ll have to try pushing it a bunch and see if that works. Thank you!!

Try gently twisting it while applying a bit more pressure. New holders can sometimes be a bit tight. If it's still stuck, take a look inside for anything blocking the flashlight's release.
