Interesting. Curious when you had your first guide contact - was it recent or last year?

I would be willing to change to black from FE if there’s a large impact on delivery time, but I’ll need a guide to discuss that with. I hope they end up reaching out based on current delivery timeline regardless of delays from your configuration.

Agreed. If I was told it was 2 weeks, I'd probably stick with FE. But if it was 3 months I'd probably switch. If it was in between... eh... I don't know. I want my cake and to eat it too!

From what we've been told, changing config won't move you up (for instance, I ordered before someone else in the Atlanta area here but they have an earlier delivery date scheduled, April/May whereas I'm May/June, I assume because they have BM interior and I have FE - and my understanding is with the priority now set, that's not going to change if switch to BM) but could move you back. So... who knows?

Heads up, love this color but had to change in order to have my March/April delivery stay on track. Just got off the phone with the guide, couldn't say when (generic Q2/Q3 projection) but he did let me know that this was one of the items delaying my process. Bummer, really felt like being in a forest. looking forward to seeing it in your rigs. Also kitchen and tents.. you can lock in the pricing you had, and get them later. Seems I will be on the ground.. for the next few months using my jetboil, but i don't mind, want that truck by my side.

I hope they have this straightened out by the time my R1S is built "sometime" in 2023!!

Yeah, I’m not looking to move up before May (and with an R1S on order, I expect further delays regardless). But once they actually start delivering I’m hoping they’ll give me the option to choose instead of skipping over me in line to deliver to later orders who chose BM.

In my case, given that we haven’t had 6 months of R1S deliveries to work out the kinks, maybe it’s better to keep FE and let others take the first few deliveries to identify issues.

First guide contact was last year, before the announced delay. Today's chat was my first follow up since that time, he told me he was checking on his people in this delivery window, and noted my truck hadn't started it's process. He pulled on that loose thread and found it to be due to FE and tent/kitchen. Sounded proactive on his end, which I appreciated.

A source from within Rivian told me that there was a run on green #40 dye due to projected demand increase for green beer, green rivers, green hats and shamrock shakes given the CDC's announcement regarding no masks in public leading up to St Paddy's day. Unfortunately concentrated green #40 is what they tan the vegan leather with after they skin the potatoes it comes from.

I wish they would come out with an auburn brown leather saddle whatever situation!! I know the idea is vegan, but damn it would look so much better imo!! Especially with limestone..

I’d go for ”saddle” colored upholstery with my forest green.

But the greyish green of the forest edge is really nice.

I like everything about it, but the green on top of the dash. Wish they had gone with the more dark/gray vegan leather used in other areas of FE...OC and BM both look to me to have the same color there...would have prefered that. Need to check it out again though - hope there is an opportunity before I order.
