I recently drove a 260 mile round trip and returned with 40 miles remaining. This was in conserve mode (front wheel drive only) on 22" tires with my wife and a couple hundred pounds of stuff. Mostly freeway, mostly 70mi/hr., AC on. I did not use autopilot, but did use adaptive cruise control which works very well..Hey guys... im new to this forum and just wanted your opinions... as the title states just wanted to see what you guys would pick with forest edge interior.
I also drive a tesla model x 295 mile range but can really only get about 240 miles... is the rivian at about 260 with large battery? Would be great if the rivian was much better like 300 miles but have a feeling the range loss is going to be about the same.
And 1 more question... it's drivers plus just as good as autopilot on the highway? And any news of if and when city drivers plus coming out?
Thanks guys
this is still great to hear especially since you have the a/t tires...im just going with the regular 21" highway tires so I should easily be able to get at least 2.1mi/kw right? i dont drive crazy and average around 8mph over speed limit so nothing crazy.2-2.1 mi/kw day to day
again these are so awesome to hear...seems like everyone is getting fairly close to epa ratings while there are literally 0 people getting anything close to epa ratings for the xI recently drove a 260 mile round trip and returned with 40 miles remaining. You should be fine range / efficiency wise. Love the Limestone and I get so many compliments. Glad I went with Black interior. Not truly black, but dark grey / charcoal.this is still great to hear especially since you have the a/t tires...im just going with the regular 21" highway tires so I should easily be able to get at least 2.1mi/kw right? i dont drive crazy and average around 8mph over speed limit so nothing crazy.
do you have any regrets not going with the forest edge interior? and im assuming you are loving your limestone
Honestly I just throw on driver+ when I hit the highway and cruise for 20 minutes. Same on road trips, keep it under 75mph and let it ride. You must drive like a grandpa. I rely almost exclusively on my regen and rarely touch my brakes. Even when trying to maximize range the highest I've ever hit over a 15 min period (part of my usual drive home from work) is 2.25 m/kw. Honestly can't imagine what I'd have to do to hit your average m/kw?
but i love those pastel colors lol...which is why limestone and launch green were chosen...even in that picture that launch green doesnt pop yet i just love that color lolWas just picking up my truck from the service center and took a picture next to Launch Green. I might be biased but I really did not like LG in person. It's a bit bland. Reminds me of the Toyota's green they put on 4Runners and Tacomas.![]()
Driver+ is totally fine on the highway. It has flukes every now and then (glare, sharp curves, etc) but in my opinion is about as reliable as autopilot. Maybe a little less (over?)confidence in tricky situations, but also less phantom braking and general weirdness.and autopilot is a must for me as it helps tremendously on long trips...as long as drivers+ is just as good as autopilot on the highway im fine with that...hopefully they will have an update over the next year to get it in the city also.
why dont you think city is likely? i use that function a lot even though you have to pay attention it helps me out.Driver+ is totally fine on the highway. I don't think city is likely to be coming any time soon, and I'm fine with that. Lane centering on arbitrary roads is nice but otherwise I don't trust my Tesla as far as I can throw it.
I own a S and an X. Neither have ever gotten remotely close to the EPA range when driving normally. The Rivian has been consistently getting very close or in one case exceeding the EPA range, even with 2 large coolers on a bed mounted rack.again these are so awesome to hear...seems like everyone is getting fairly close to epa ratings while there are literally 0 people getting anything close to epa ratings for the x
