Free charging session from EA!

Suggestion: If you pay the $4/mo fee the cost goes down from $0.43 to $0.31 /kWh. You would have saved almost $9 on just this one charge (if it wasn't free). The monthly fee pays for itself if you charge even once per month, and you can always not pay for a month if you don't plan on going anywhere.

When charging sessions are free, it doesn't connect to your account. Thus, just shows the standard rate on the screen. Just because it shows the $0.43 figure, doesn't mean the customer doesn't have the $4.00 monthly account. I pay the $4.00 per month and every free charging session shows me what I saved based on $0.43 rather than $0.31

I have had several complimentary sessions from EA. I finally installed a home charger so I haven't been using them much lately but my last session was free. I have been wondering what the logic is. Are there promotions that I don't know about? Is it just random? Sometimes it seems to happen after a session fails to start and I shuffle over to the next charger. Is there something to that? What is the deal with these guys?
